The MHGS community begins the academic year with several events to help welcome all students, returning and incoming, to the community. The "Fall Forward:Return/Arrival" consists of:
- Thursday (9/4) @ 6:30pm: The Story of MHGS & Vespers
- Friday day (9/5): Enjoy your city: Various activities throughout Seattle led by current students ;
- Friday (9/5) @ 7: Dinner with your neighborhood hosted by current students
- Saturday (9/6) @ 10:30am: Convocation & Community Picnic
- Wednesday (9/10): A reception for an artist
- Saturday & Sunday (9/13-9/14): Mosaic Weekend for Married Couples 

This period is an important time for Mars Hill Graduate School as we set aside time before God and with each other, to transition into a new year, rest & reconnect with old friends, and welcome a new class into our community.

This will be a time for faculty, staff, and alumni to tell their stories of how they arrived at MHGS and what their daily return to our community has been like, in what ways have they been blessed by our community and in what ways how they bled for our community. Vespers is a service of thanksgiving and worship, we hope the story of MHGS wil invite us to consider the larger story of life, death, and resurrection in a space that invites us to worship.

Current students will take groups of students to their favorite Seattle spots whether it be hiking, a day out on the water, or up to the space needle.

This will be a time for students who live in the same neighborhood to come together at a current student's house for a laid back and fun dinner. It will be a great time for old and new neighbors to connect.

A time for our community to come together and get to know the artist whose art is displayed in our building.

As Part of the welcoming current students' return and the incoming students' arrival, MOSAIC is hosting its second annual Mosaic Weekend on September 13 and 14. Last year was a great time to connect with other married couples who are journeying through MHGS. We will be starting with breakfast at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday the 13th and ending around 4:30. Sunday, we will have breakfast and a worship service.
